My online research alerted me to the Samui Elephant Sanctuary (SES) in Bophut, which offers a different way to enjoy these beautiful beasts other than in zoos or on trekking tours. It’s set on seven acres of tropical woodlands where six (so far) resident elephants, all females, live a more natural existence.
