Writers' Guidelines

Luxury Web Magazine is currently a non-paying venue, although we hope to be able to change that in the future.

Our voice is first-person in which the writer expresses their opinions about the subject matter. We do not publish objective journalistic pieces. Articles are expected to be honest and not written to placate any public relations entity, but we must know if you have accepted comps or discounts so that we can disclose it to our readers.

We cover luxury travel destinations, food and wine, entertainment/museums, spas, hotels, cruises, some ecotravel, and selected travel products. Our hotel reviews are of four-star and five-star properties around the world.

We are open to “reprints” in some cases.

Writers are expected to provide original photographs or images that have been provided by a tourism board, hotel, etc. You must have been given permission to use all images you provide to us. You cannot pull images from the internet without express written permission from the creator of the images. It isn’t enough to attribute an image to its creator without permission. If you do not have several images, we might be able to assist with images from our own archives.

High quality videos are very welcome!

Writers are also expected to let us know if they accepted any free or discounted stays, products, or services. We will disclose these in each article going forward per FTC regulations.

Articles will be edited at our discretion, and we reserve the right to reject articles if the writing is not up to our standards. We cannot guarantee that an article by a first-time writer to us will be published until we have had an opportunity to read it in full.

All article submissions will be run through plagiarism software, and we do not accept articles that have obviously been created by artificial intelligence. Any writer submitting plagiarized or AI-generated articles will not be allowed to submit articles in the future.

In some circumstances, we can offer assignment letters to experienced travel journalists.

If you’re interested in publishing articles with the magazine, please send a pitch email via our Contact Form. We will respond to you as soon as possible.
