This is my mother’s recipe and the only brownie recipe we ever made in our family. If you like your brownies chewy, you’ll love this one.
Ingredients:
4 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
4 squares unsweetened chocolate
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups nuts of your choice
12 tablespoons butter or margarine
Method:
Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Melt the butter and chocolate, and add them to the dry ingredients.
Add the vanilla extract.
Beat the eggs, and add them last.
Use an electric mixer, or mix the batter by hand.
Line a large rectangular cake pan with parchment paper, or grease it with butter or marjarine.
Bake the mixture for 30 minutes at 300 degrees.
Cool, and cut into squares.
